Frank Oakley Hensley was born on May 14, 1925. On Aug. 18, 1941, he enlisted in the Civilian Conservation Corp in Big Stone Gap. On July 3, 1943, he married his childhood sweetheart, Virginia "Jenny" Martin but shortly thereafter, he was called to duty in the US Navy - World War II. After his discharge on December 12, 1945 he worked for Haslip Bakery & various Construction Companies. In 1952 he went to work for Quesenberry's Construction Co. Frank and Jenny attend North Pentecostal Church and have four children.
