Leslie S. Scriven
Leslie S. Scriven, 63, of 1202 Stack, Salina, Kansas, died at 4 a.m. Monday in the St. John's Hospital of a very short illness.
For the past 10 years, Mr. Scriven has been a salesman at the Montgomery Ward store. Formerly he was exchange manager at Hoisington, Clay Center and Belleville for the United Telephone Co.
Born February 23, 1893 in Lucas, Mr. Scriven moved to Salina ten years ago. He was a member of the First Methodist church.
Surviving are the widow, Catherine May; one son, Boman C., Oakley; a daughter, Mrs. J. L. McKnelly, Little Rock, Arkansas; a stepson, Joseph W. Vaughn, Ellinwood; one step-daughter, Mrs. J. Colbert Simpson, Salina; four grandchildren; one brother, Flavel T., Cleveland, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Lila Buell, Topeka; Cecil V., Cleveland, Ohio; and Mrs. Jessie Horn of Everest, Kansas.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday at the Methodist Church in Lucas, the Rev. A. M. Anderson officiating Burial will be in the Lucas cemetery.
