Malaha "Ann" Cline was the second child born to Samuel Cline 1826 – 1880 and Mary Jane Long 1828 – 1868. Ann had three siblings, Highlander A Cline 1853; Courtney Cline 1856; and James H. Cline 1868 – 1940.

Ann married Samuel Alexander Hawkins (Alex) in Hawkins Co., on Feb. 5, 1880 and lived on a farms near White Horn and Bulls Gap, Hawkins Co., Tennessee. She gave birth to five children, William N. Hawkins 1881; James Venoy Hawkins 1883 – 1949; Henry H. Hawkins 1889 – 1969; Lizzie Lee Hawkins 1894 – 1908; and Dewey Patrick Hawkins 1898 – 1960.

The 1920 census revealed that they were living in rural Bulls Gap among the farms of her relatives many relatives. Ann died on Jan. 11, 1926. A few days later she was laid to rest in the cemetery joining the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church.
