Final rites for Mrs. Jessie Chis, 89, of Bone Gap, were held Sunday afternoon from the Ingram Funeral Home, with Rev. Samuel Totten officiating.
Mrs. Chism died June 5 in Tucson, Arizona at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. William Simmons, where she had been spending her winters for the past five years.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Mrs. William Simmons; two great grandchildren, Mrs. Patricia Conner of Decatur and James Simmons of Tucson Ariz; three great, great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Roxie Kohn of Mt. Carmel.
Born March 6 1879 in Malta Bend Missouri of David and Mary Ford Recob, the family had moved to Bone Gap when she was a small child.
