Pana, March 1.—The body of Samuel W. Bird arrived here at 3:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, over the Chicago and Eastern Illinois railroad from Chicago. The train was met at the station by the Masonic fraternity and old friends of Mr. Bird. The cortege proceeded immediately to Linwood cemetery, where the interment was made in the family lot. The Masonic funeral rites was given by the local Masons. The pallbearers were the following: T. J. Vidler; J. B. Reese, S. C. Wagner, W. H. Alexander, H. L. Haywood, and Charles Eichelberger, all Masons.
