Funeral Services for Mrs. Clara Koontz, 79, of Maquoketa, were held at 2 p.m., Thurdsay in the Buchner Chapel with the Reverend Henry Mueller of First Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Koontz died about 7:30 p.m. Monday at the home of her son, Clinton R. Koontz, at 1319 E. Plat Street.
Clara Walker was born July 6, 1862, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Walker, in Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Koontz; one son, William and one daughter, Mrs. Ada Judy.
Surviving are three children, Clinton R., of Maquoketa; Elvin, of Alberta, Canada and Mrs. Marian Airsman, of Dayton, Ohio.
