Clova Lee Schuchardt, 83, of Kendalia, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12, 2007. She was born September 15, 1923, in Bergheim, TX and was the daughter of Ed and Anne Merz. On October 18, 1941, Clova Lee married Julius William Schuchardt and they enjoyed 65 loving years together. Clova Lee was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Her home was always open for anyone who stopped by and she always welcomed you as though you were part of her family. She loved her family and was loved by all who met her. She was very faithful to the Lord and it was her belief and faith in God that gave her strength throughout her life. Clova Lee earned a Diploma from Johnson?s Beauty Academy on November 7, 1940. She followed her husband, who was in the military, to Del Rio, Texas, where her first son was born. After the war, she and her husband moved to San Antonio, Texas where Clova Lee owned and operated a Beauty Shop for many years before moving to Kendalia, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Julius William; sons, Clayton and Kenneth; grandchildren, Karen Jo Marshall, Wayne Schuchardt, Kenny Schuchardt, Valerie Workman, Debra Wooden and Brian Schuchardt; great grandchildren, Joshua Leerhoff, Kaleb Leerhoff, Marissa Wooden, Jonathon Wells, Kristen Wells, Noah Marshall, Kadee Davis, Karlton Tatsch, and Kara Schuchardt. Visitation was held on Sunday, April 15 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services were held on Monday, April 16, at Vaughan's Funeral Home, with Dr. David B. Vaughan, officiating. Burial followed in the Newman/Short Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Vaughan's Funeral Home of Boerne.
