Mary Tepera, age 94, of Rogers passed peacefully from this world surrounded by her loving family on Thursday September 22. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 26 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple with Father Tom Chamberlain as celebrant. Burial will follow in Sts. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery in Marak.

Mrs. Tepera was born April 30, 1917 in Cornhill to Frank and Katherine (Skrhak) Sherek. She attended schools in Jonah, Cornhill and Granger. She married Louis Tepera on April 20, 1937 and moved to a farm outside Rogers where she and Louis raised seven children. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple since her marriage. A faithful Catholic, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she loved unconditionally. Her concern for others was a trait that endeared her to family and friends. Throughout her life, she gave of herself serving her family with devotion and prayer. She was an inspiration to all those who knew her. She was also a member of SPJST Lodge #47 in Seaton.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Louis in 1996, by her father in 1969 and her mother in 1981, and by her brothers, Joe Sherek of Arlington in 1976, Rudolph Sherek of Granger in 1996, Emil Sherek of Granger in 1997, Henry Sherek of Pilot Point in 2002, her sisters Jarmila (Jimmie) Simmel of Fort Worth in 2001, and Rosie Bartel of Taft in 2011; also by her infant brothers and sister Aneska, Frankie, and Frank; and by her sons-in-law Billy Billeck in 2006 and Bill Craft in 2007; also by one great-grandson, Chance Carter in 2005.

Survivors include her sons, Louis Tepera and wife, Gennie of Rogers and Willie Tepera and wife, Helen of Temple, her daughters, Mary Ann Billeck of Rogers, Rosie Craft of Oenaville, Margie Marshall and husband, Don of Keller, Martha Culp and husband, Ronnie of Rogers and Dorothy Palmer and husband, Ken of Galveston.

Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, Cindy Greger and husband, Tony of Temple, Bill Tepera and wife, Terri of Salado, Rick Tepera of Belton, Jeff Tepera and wife, Laura of Cypress, Lisa Caufmann and Vicky Rhodes both of Austin, Mark Tepera and wife, Kelly of Plano, Billy Joe Billeck and wife, Andi of Rogers, Kathy Hoelscher and husband, Dale of Westphalia, James Billeck and wife, Melanie of Salado, Kym Miller of Oenaville, Marita Morrow and husband, Aaron of Rhome, Clay Marshall and wife, Carolyn of St. Charles, MO, Deanna Carter and husband, Scott of Lorena, and two step-grandchildren, Nicole Huff and husband, Ryan of Kerrville and Aaron Palmer of Bellevue, WA.

Also surviving are 17 great-grandchildren who will miss but lovingly remember "Memo", Lyssa and Cory Greger, of Temple, Shelby and Ryan Tepera of Salado, Trent Tepera of Belton , Blake and Trevor Tepera of Cypress, Austin and Logan Morrow of Rhome, Jake Rhodes of Austin, Kyler and Kaden Miller of Oenaville, Parker and Peyton Tepera of Plano, Britt Billeck of Rogers, and Jaysen and Dawsen Carter of Lorena; and six step-great-grandchildren, Will and Ryan Worley and Sterling Brown of Belton, Joel and Harmony Huff of Kerrville, and Elizabeth Hoelscher of Westphalia.

Mary is also survived by a brother, Daniel Sherek and wife Mary Jane of El Reno, OK, two sisters, Bessie Riney and husband Bud of Pilot Point, and Martha Bell of Celina, three sisters-in-law Alta Jo Gillen of Pilot Point and Martha Sherek of Taylor, and Loretta Sherek of Pilot Point, and a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM on Sunday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic School in Temple.
