Glenn died as a result of injuries received in a truck accident at paauilo, Hawaii.Glen Black of the US Marine Corps, son of Mrs Raynor McKee of Pontiac MI, formerly of Columbia, has been reported killed in action somewhere in the Pacific, according to word received here by Lee Parham, brother of Mrs McKee.

The Telegram gave no further details.

Black, a former resident of Columbia, is survived by three brothers: Guy Black, US Marine Corps, San Diego, CA, Ray Black, US Navy in the European Theater, and Robert Black of Pontiac; one sister, Mrs Jimmy Dutton of Pontiac, and his grandmother Mrs Dora Parham of Columbia.

Black, Glen - Former Maurian, Glen Black, a Marine, was killed in action , according to a news release in the Daily Herald 25 Sep 1944. Nothing else is known about this man.

1930 Census, taken 8 Apr 1930, has Algie Black, 39, lineman at auto body factory, married at 23, living in Pontiac, Oakland County, MI. Children are: Robert L, m, 14; Daisy, f, 9; Glen, m, 7; and Ray, m, 4y 1m. Also in thehousehold are: servant Mary Huggins, f, 33, married at 23; Thelma Huggins, f, 8; Fred Huggins, 5; and Charlie E Huggins, 1y 2m; and boarder William Black, m, 28, machine operator at rubber factory.
