On Dec 26, 2016, the link to proposed parents Amos Woodard and Anna Paten was deleted from this memorial. A family bible belonging to Lysander Whelden indicates that her father was Daniel Woodard/Woodward. Also, a letter from Darius Whelden to Lysander written in 1847 strongly suggests that Anna Woodward Stevens was a sister to Eunice.

On Aug 14, 2018, the parental link was re-established. There are a number of DAR applications that claim Anna's descent from Amos. I consider it to be an open question.

Several questionable sources name her first husband to be a Dr. Barker. No evidence has been found of this connection, although it would explain the middle name of her middle son.
