Mrs. Emma Loomis, 83 years old, died early Sunday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. Harold Newman, in Detroit. She was born March 4, 1864 near Ann Arbor and was the daughter of Michael and Dora Burkhardt Alber. She married Louis Lutz on May 1 1889 and he preceded her in death in 1901. In 1920 she was married to Theron Loomis and he died in 1924. Survivors include the three daughters, Mrs. Newman of Detroit, Mrs. Way of Drayton Plains and Mrs Edwin Webb of East Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Mary Chase of Ann Arbor; and five grandchildren.
