Myrtle was born and lived in Lebo until 1992. She had eight children. They were Clelia Delores, Velda Claudine, Claud Allen, a stillborn baby, Robert Gene, Newell Edward, William Lewis and Jerry Dean. She married Claud Julian on April 12, 1927. About 1938 she became a telephone operator in Lebo to support her children. She continued as one of the telephone operators in Lebo until her retirement in 1965. She continue to live in Lebo until 1992. In 1992 she moved to Overland Park, KS to live with her daughter, Delores Henry. She lived there until fall of 1994 when she decided to move to the Osage Rehab Center in Osage City which was closer to Lebo. She remained there until she was hospitalized in Newman Memorial Hospital in Emporia, KS on Dec. 20, 1996. She underwent surgery on Dec. 21, 1996 and succumbed to the effects of the surgery later that day. She was much loved by her 6 remaining children, 14 grand-children, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous great, great-grandchildren. She is still missed by all today.
