OBIT:
Mrs. Tenie Gribble nee Smith was born March 11, 1870 in Gentry County, MO. She was converted the winter of 1887 and shortly after her conversion joined the Christian Church at Evona, MO. She married Prof. J. B. Gribble March the 8th, 1888, departed this life March 25th, 1891, leaving her husband and three small children to mourn her loss, one of them being an infant. During her illness, her suffering was great but she was fortified by divine grace. A true devoted Christian, her influence in and out of her family was good. She was a good singer and she was especially fond of singing, she was modest, truthful and amiable. Wherever she went, she made friends. Her end was peaceful.

Tenie, take thy rest until Eastern glow lights the skies
Until the dead in Jesus shall arise,
And he shall come but not in lovely guise.
Beloved. Farewell.
