Ernest E. Seyller, 80, of Elgin died Monday, January 4, 1999 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital.

He was born December 23, 1918 in Burlington, IL, the son of Frank and Louise Sester Seyller.

He had been a resident of Elgin for the past 50 years. He was employed in the Burlington area in farming and was then employed by Kenyon Brothers for 20 years and then Elgin Salvage for 15 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church of Elgin and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 799 of Elgin.

Survivors include a sister, Jeanette Seyller of Elgin; and a brother, Donald (Barbara) Seyller of Elgin; 18 nephews; and 9 nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Frank, Herman, Raymond, Ralph, Frederick and Harold; two sisters, Theresa Follman and Kathryn Waughon; three nieces; and two nephews.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 AM Thursday in the Laird Funeral Home to St. Laurence Catholic Church fro Mass at 10 AM with Rev. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Borromeo Church Cemetery, Hampshire.

Memorials may be given to St. Laurence Catholic Church Building Fund.
