Bobby Dean Boyer, Sr., went to be with his Lord on September 3, 2010, at the age of 79. Born August 21, 1931, to Hazel Marie Adams and Homer Kyle Boyer in Battle Creek, NE, Bob entered the Army at 15 and served 11 years. In 1950, he met and married Ruby Jean Cook. She preceded him in death in 1993, as did his parents and siblings, Jack, Bill, LaVona, Eileen and Armene. He is survived by brothers, Jim and Dick; his children: Bob Jr. and Debbie of Corvallis, OR; Nova and Steve Noles of Oklahoma City; Kathy and Dennis Bryant of Yukon; and Della and Brad Dewey of Tulsa; grandsons, Dillon and Lee, granddaughters, Sally, Heidi, Jennifer, Sandy, Kelly, Geneva and Elizabeth; and 9 great-grandchildren. Bob was a machinist by trade, with the heart of an inventor and entrepreneur. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, cards, dominoes, computers, and chronicling family history with old photos and genealogy. He was a fan of big band, jazz and country music. He was baptized by Rev. Cliff Adams in 1993. Viewing is immediately prior to services on Wednesday, September 8, at 10:00 A.M., in Resthaven's Chapel, 500 S.W. 104, with interment following in the Garden of Valor.
