FORSYTH, MT. ---- Bruce G. Aasland, a longtime Forsyth resident was a partner with his father in Birger Aasland and Son Transfer Co., worked for Treasure State Title Co., managed Range Telephone Cooperative and worked as an accountant for Harris Texaco Distribution and Bechtel Power Corporation in Colstrip, retiring in 1982.

He was a World War II Navy Veteran, serving from 1943 to 1946, past master of Hiram Lodge No. 52 AF & AM, past advisor and member of Legion of Honor of DeMolay, past patron of Bethlehem Chapter No. 27 Order of Eastern Star, Treasure of Rosebud County Shrine Club and member of York Rite Bodies,
Al Bedoo Shrine in Billings and the Federated Church.

Mr. Aasland 65, died on Sunday morning in Rosebud Community Hospital.

He was born in Ingomar, MT., the son of Birger and Irene Hanson Aasland.

He grew up and attended schools in Ingomar and Forsyth.

He graduated from Forsyth High School in 1937 and worked for Forsyth State Bank.

He married Gerd Anderson Oct. 26, 1940 in Forsyth.
She preceded him in death.

He married Thelma Wagner in 1968 in Billings.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Ron of Birmingham. AL., and Jeff of Forsyth, MT., a sister, Mrs. Mildred Matson of Sun City, AR., and one grandson.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Beals Mortuary Chapel.

Burial in Forsyth Cemetery, Forsyth, MT.
