Masons to have charge of Beck Graveside Rites
The Tulare Masons and Elks will be among the groups attending the funeral service here Saturday afternoon for Dr. J. E. Beck, 63, who passed away suddenly early Thursday morning. The Masons will have charge of the graveside service.
Secretary W.P. Theno, of the Tulare Elks lodge, requests all Elks to meet at the Elks Building at 1:45 o'clock Saturday afternoon to attend in a body the funeral service, which will be held from the Goble Chapel at 2 P.M.
Doctor Beck was a practicing physician in Tulare for 27 years. His philanthropy was demonstrated by freely given charity gifts. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vesta Beck, two daughters, Mrs. Alice Mellow of Berkeley and Betty Beck of Fresno and two step-children, Vivian (Hawkins) Haley and (William) Oral Hawkins of Corcoran.
