Mrs. Wood was employed at Durham Manufacturing Co. for several years and earlier was employed at Woolworth's, the Mayfair Shop and Federal Bakery. Mrs. Wood was a member of Warner Gear Sympathy Club Auxiliary.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Mrs. Therese Cox and Mrs. Treva Boxell, both of Muncie; three nephews, John (Jack) Tarter, Greybull, Wyo., Quincy Tarter, Casper, Wyo., and Robert Tarter, Martinez, Calif.; a niece, Mrs. Louise Brown, Chicago; and several grandchildren.
Services will be held in Meeks Mortuary at 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Glenn Campton, pastor of Avondale Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and any time before services Thursday.
