---Mrs. Barton was born on October 11, 1930 in Marshall to Royal and Beulah Kathryn (Hopkins) Howard. She was a graduate of Marshall High School, class of 1949 and continued her education attending Cleary College. She had been employed at the S.H. Leggett Company, Calhoun County Treasures Office, and as a Home Health Care Provider for her father.
---She was a member of the American Legion Aux., the Marshall Women of the Moose #202 and the Eastern Star Battle Creek Chapter #153.
---On July 20, 1952, she married Kenneth F. Barton. He preceded her death on April 28, 1997.
---Mrs. Barton was known for boisterous laugh, generous heart and warm smile. She enjoyed her farm on F drive for many years with her husband Ken. Mickey loved hummingbirds, butterflies, long weekends Up North, and spending time with her many loved friends.
---Surviving special friends are Mr. and Mrs. Keith and Peggy Walters, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel and Michelle Westra, Nelson Westra, Morgan Walters, and Brian Spencer II.
