In 1881,

Spirits Turpentine.

-- Kinston Journal: Our town was somewhat startled on Thursday last about 1 o'clock in the afternoon, when it was announced that Mr. R. L. Wooten, a prominent citizen of Mosley Hall township, and who had been seen but a few minutes previous on the streets in apparent good health, was dead at Dr. Hyatt's office. He had gone to the Doctor's office for a medical examination.

Have not been able to locate the cemetery where Richard is buried. Richard's first wife Nancy Susan Wooten is buried in John Wooten Cemetery in La Grange, NC and his second wife his second wife Angelina Loftin Wooten is buried in Cherry Hill Cemetery in Greenville, Pitt, NC. If anyone knows where Richard is buried please notify me at [email protected]. [Please Note: Sadly, Brady has passed away. She did an excellent job of contributing so much about her families to FindAGrave. Please let us know if anyone finds the location of Richard's resting place. Thanks, David, 14 May 2021.]
