Of much interest to Davis folks was the announcement last week of the marriage of Miss Beatrice Briggs of El Reno and Mr. Gerson Adler of Oklahoma City. The wedding took place in Weleetka, Oklahoma, the evening of July 19th, with the only attendants three close friends of the pair, Mr. and Mrs. J. Wilson McRae of Asbury Park, New Jersey, and Mr. Herman Druce of Oklahoma City.
The bride is well-known in Davis, having visited here on numerous occasions in recent years. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Briggs of El Reno and is connected with the Oklahoma City office of the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Co. in the capacity of assistant cashier.
Gerson is an old Davis boy, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ike Adler, and, after graduating from high school here in 1927, he received his degree from the School of Business Administration at the university of Oklahoma in 1931. The following year he became connected with General Mills, Inc., being in the Accounting Department of their El Reno unit, the El Reno Mill & Elevator Co. Early in 1937 he was transferred with a promotion to the Southwest headquarters, the Oklahoma Mill & Elevator Co. at Oklahoma City, where he is located at present.
The parents of the bridegroom entertained Sunday with an informal dinner in honor of the pair, with Miss Minnie Adler of Davis, and Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Adler and Miss Jeanne Houle, all of Fort Worth, as guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerson Adler are at home at 208 N. W. 30th St., Oklahoma City. Their many friends join in extending heartiest congratulations and very best wishes.
