He was born November 4, 1922 in Johnson, Arkansas, the son of Fred and Eller Eubanks Drake.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Drake; three sisters, Bertha Howell, Fannie Edgin and Pauline Grigsby; four brothers, Tommy Drake, Willis Drake, Willie Drake and Ray Drake.
He was a retired foreman for Washington County Transfer and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by three sons, David Drake and his wife DeAnna of Fayetteville, Garry Drake and his wife Susie of Fayetteville and Randy Drake and his wife Jackie of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, Derrick Drake, Christopher Drake, Brad Drake, Jennifer Coldiron, Stephanie Drake and Sarah Drake.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 29 at Baptist Ford Cemetery in Greenland, under the direction of Moore's Chapel. Officiating will be Chaplain Mickey Merrick
