John attended Kentucky University for one year, then he decided to join the U.S. Air Force. While serving in Special Services at the Air Base in Spokane, WA, he was killed in a traffic (motorcycle) accident. His unexpected death came at the age of 22 years.
John will be remembered for his sense of fun and adventure, his talent in art, and in athletics. At one time he was rated 6th in the nation in Cross Country. He is buried at Shiloh Cemetery, Sturgeon Bay, WI.
