Alive Carlson---Aberdeen
MRS. Walter (Alice) Carlson, 65, of Rt. 4, Aberdeen, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, at her home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Gates-Vik Funeral Home with the Rev. Emil Eberhart of the Faith United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Casketbearers will be Walter Bleckert, Leslie Keller, M.E. Hunstad, Marvin Koth, Philip Vaughn and Frederick Wendt. Robert Olson will be the soloist and Mrs. John Evens will be the organist.
The family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society.
Alice Solveig Nelson was born April 5, 1916, at Minneapolis, Minn. In 1921 the family moved to Aberdeen where she had since resided. She married Walter Carlson Sept. 3, 1939, at Aberdeen. She was a member of several local women's clubs.
Survivors include her husband, three sons, Frank, Aberdeen; Richard, Socorro, N.M.; and Gary, Provo, Utah; four daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Donna0 Baron, Santee, Calif.; Mrs. Charles (Linda) Frost, Rexburg, Idaho; Mrs. James (Jane) McElroy, Lake Oswego, Ore.; and Mrs. David (Esther) Garber, Afton, Wyo.; one brother, Frank Robert (Bob) Nelson, Aberdeen; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild.
