ANDERSON, Ind., Feb. 2 - Another disastrous gas explosion occurred here at 12:05 o'clock Wednesday morning. The residence of Ulysses S. Brunson, at the corner of Main and Twefth streets, was blown up, and he and his family badly injured by the flames and the shock of the explosion. The explosion was caused by a leaky service pipe, which filled the house with gas. The kitchen fire had been burning, and Brunson got up to turn it off. Just as he reached for the valve the explosion happened. He was hurled through the air in one direction, and as he whirled around saw his wife and family being blown out of the front door into the street. Then he struck the wall of the kitchen and knew nothing more until he was found on the street walking about in a dazed way looking for his wife and babies. He does not know how he got out of the building, which by this time was enveloped in flames. The roar of the explosion and the brilliant flash of flames accompanying it both illuminated and shook the central part of the city. The injured are: Ulysses S. Brunson, Mrs. U.S. Brunson, Sarah Brunson, 11 years old, Mary Brunson, 7 years old, and Volney Brunson, 3 years old. All were badly burned and bruised. They were taken to the residence of Pat O'Neill , across the street. Mrs. Brunson will probably died. A second explosion occurred in the same building at 3 o'clock in the morning.
