Born in Middle Musquodoboit, he was a son of the late Burton and Amelia (Dean) Hamilton, Middle Musquodoboit. He was a retired taxi driver and truck driver. He was a great story teller. Surviving are his wife, Shirley (Reid), Halifax; daughters, Linda Dykeman, Upper Musquodoboit; Maxine Hamilton, Dartmouth; sons, William, Halifax; Mike, Toronto; Gordon Jr., Dartmouth; two granddaughters, six grandsons. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jack, Lloyd; sister, Mary. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 10-11 a.m. today, funeral service 11 a.m. today, both in Snow's Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax, Rev. Trent Cleveland-Thompson officiating. Burial at a later date.
