Alvin M. Sizemore, age 89, of Murphysboro, Illinois, formerly of St. Charles died Friday, July 25, 2003 at Murphysboro Rehabilitation and Care Center.
    He was born October 6, 1913 in Crofton, KY. to Robert and Ivy Sizemore.
    For 35 years, he was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Charles and the Elks Club in Geneva. He was employed in the ship yard in Seneca, Illinois during WWII and later a well driller for Lane Western in Aurora, Illinois for over 30 years.
    Mr. Sizemore is survived by three children, James of Eddieville, KY., Richard (Lee) of Buncombe, Illinois and Elizabeth (Wayne) Partington of Derry, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Lynn Kalamaos, Kelly Arnold, Amy Arnold, Sara Arnold, Richard Grant Sizemore, Jason Sizemore, Katherin Sizemore, Eric Crane, Daniel Crane and five great grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence, his parents, a daughter, Patricia Arnold, two grandchildren, Jared and Janet Sizemore and two sisters, Irene and Della.
    Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 30 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Charles, Illinois. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva, Illinois. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois.
