3/26/22 - 1/21/10

Grace M. Pratt of Moscow died Thursday evening, January 21st at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow. She was 87.
Grace was born March 26, 1922 at Chicago, Illinois to Lewis J. and Marie C. Gilbert. She grew up and attended school there, graduating from high school in Chicago. She joined the United States Marine Corps Women's Reserve and served at Camp LeJeune, NC and at San Diego, CA prior to her discharge in 1944. She went to work as a telephone operator with AT&T in Chicago, and later for General Telephone in Moscow.

She moved to Pullman and was employed at Dissmores Grocery Store, prior to working for General Telephone, retiring from there in the late 1960's.

On December 16, 1964, she married Oliver H. Pratt at Coeur d'Alene. Music was a big part of Grace's life. She volunteered and held leadership positions with Meals on Wheels, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, the Moscow Fire Department Auxiliary, Lutherhaven and Gritman Medical Center Women's Auxiliary.
