Mrs. Pearl W. Abeel was born in Chicago, Ill, May 19th, 1896, and died at her home in Sioux Falls, May 7th, 1933 at the age of 36 years, 11 months and 12 days.

She graduated at Plano, Ill., High School in the year 1912. Moving to Viborg with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Sorensen, the same year.

She finished her education at the Sioux Falls Baptist college in 1914. In the year 1915, she was baptized in the Baptist faith at Alcester, S. D., where she was active in her church work and music.

On October 18th, 1919 she was united in marriage to Clyde A. Abeel of Alcester, S. D.

At the time of her death she was the official secretary to the Boy Scouts of America at Sioux Falls, S. D.

Her mother preceded her in death just five weeks to the day.

Pearl was a good and kind wife and mother, honored and loved by all with whom she came in contact and will be greatly missed. She was stricken with a stroke while at work at her office Saturday noon. She was taken to her home in an ambulance, but never regained consciousness, passing away at midnight.

Besides her husband, Clyde A. Abeel and son Bobby, she leaves to mourn her death, her aged grandmother, Mrs. Eline Sorensen of Viborg, her step-father Charles J.J.Jensen of Sioux Falls, her aunt, Mrs. Wm. Jensen and uncle P. S. Sorensen, both of Sioux Falls, and one uncle, Charles A. Sorensen of Plano, Ill. Besides these she leaves many other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon with Rev. W. E. Prewitt delivering the funeral sermon and music furnished by a mixed quartet. Burial was at Rose Hill cemetery.
