HAZEL RUTH KOSTER BUELOW, 86, of Alvin passed away on September 23, 2011 in Webster. Hazel was born on July 14, 1925 in League City to parents, Arthur and Ruth (Campbell) Koster. She married Everett C. Buelow on July 16, 1941 in Alvin. Hazel lived most of her lifetime in Alvin and was a member of Living Stones Church. She enjoyed sewing, participating in Bible studies and Prayer Meeting. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Everett C. Buelow; her parents; brothers, John Royce Koster and Don Koster; as well as her sister, Violet Mathis. S

he is survived by her children: John H. Buelow and wife Shirley of Alvin, Robert L. Buelow and wife Brenda of Alvin, and Rebecca L. Bell and Ken Bell of Sulfur Springs; brother, Charles Koster and wife Peggy of Wichita Falls; grandchildren: John E. Buelow and Cynthia, Kendra Kitko and husband Mark, Clay Buelow and wife Deanna, Chris Ferguson and wife Tami, Cory Ferguson and wife Rachelle, Cheryl Pablo and husband John, Gene Ferguson and wife Alisha, and James Ferguson and wife Cheri; seventeen great-grandchildren; and well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She leaves behind many friends at Alvin Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 27, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Oak Park Chapel.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Park Chapel with Rev. Robert Magee officiating. Interment followed at Oak Park Cemetery.
