He and his family lived in Denver, CO, St. Charles, IL, and Rochelle, IL, and Clarkston, MI, where Clarence worked in the manufacturing industry for over 30 years.
Clarence was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice; his maternal grandparents, Rosa Stewart and John Miller; his paternal grandparents, Robert O'Neal and Mary Wise Bedenbaugh; and several dear aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his wife, Diane of Clarkston, MI; sons, Cory Nelson of Arlington Heights, IL, Brandon (Lisa) Nelson of Sawyer, MI, and Joshua Nelson of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Sophia, Mina, John "J.T." and Everett Nelson; father, Joseph Virgle Bedenbaugh of Columbia, SC; sister, Barbara Bedenbaugh Owens of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gail and Murray Dow of Louisville, KY; aunts, Ida Mae Miller Gallman of Columbia, SC, Alice Bedenbaugh Stephens of Little Mountain, SC, and Zenobia (Ralph) Bedenbaugh of Columbia, SC; and many dear nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral service and interment are at Mt. Hebron AME Church, Prosperity, SC.
