Madeleine Racquel Frady, 9, of Cedar Park, Texas, passed away on September 27, 2011. She was born on October 30, 2001 in Austin, Texas.

Madeleine was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme brain cancer in July of last year. Her fight was impossible from the beginning, and her chances of survival were none. If you knew anything about Madeleine, that cancer was in for a fight. And a fight it was! I believe Madeleine's old soul personality gave her strength to move forward with such grace, dignity and courage. A nine year old should not know what it means to be courageous. A nine year old should not have to endure the thought of 'Am I going to survive tomorrow'. Madeleine showed us all that this disease does not discriminate. It does not care who you are, or how old you are. But Madeleine has taught us that we may not have control of who it picks, but we do have control of how we embrace it and overcome it. That there is a light at the end of the tunnel. And there is a reason to fight. Her reason was to want to live. Live life to the fullest. That was her gift to us. Madeleine taught many how to WANT to live, and how to WANT to survive. In the end, she prevailed. Madeleine is continuing to live. Cancer doesn't have a place in Heaven. Madeleine does and that's where she will be until we see her again. As Madeleine would say, "Cheers to our family". We love you Chingy! Fly Chingy Fly +

Madeleine is survived by her mother, Heather Marquez and husband Joe Stan; step-brother, Joey Stan; step-sister, Kari Londrie; grandparents, Julie and Carlos Covio; Roger Marquez; and great grandparents, Anita and Joe Marquez and Minerva Lopez. She is also survived by aunts, Belinda Rivera and Madeline Roman; uncles, Fernando Mendoza, Roger Marquez, Jr., and David Marquez ; great aunt, Ana Marquez; and numerous cousins.
