Betty L. Longbottom 77, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011 at her residence.

Mrs. Longbottom was born May 27, 1934 in Fagus, Mo. She attended Ellsinore High School in Ellsinore, Mo., where she was crowned basketball Homecoming Queen in 1953. Mrs. Longbottom enjoyed spending time with her family, aerobics, exercising, taking walks with her husband, cooking and shopping.

On Nov. 10, 1953, she married Charles Longbottom in Poplar Bluff. He survives.

Other survivors include her children, Nicholas Longbottom and wife Sharon, Rebekah Breeden and husband Tom and Lori Martin and husband Doug all of Poplar Bluff; granddaughter, Mallory Breeden of Springfield, Mo.; sisters, Juanita Lee, Bell Potter, Charlene Bond, and Hazel Berry and husband Ronald all of Poplar Bluff; and brother, James Bradley and wife Paula also of Poplar Bluff.

Her parents, Robert and Josephine (Gillian) Bradley, infant sister, Bessie Bradley and brother, Floyd Bradley preceded Mrs. Longbottom in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Chapel with Rev. Byron Beck officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
