Mrs. Kate Hedges, 77 years old, of R. R. 2 (Universal), a life-long resident, died at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning
at the Vermillion County Hospital, following a brief illness. She was a member of the Bethlehem E. U. B. Church and the Royal Neighbors Club, both of Universal. Surviving are a son, Herbert, with whom she made her home; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Archer of Terre Haute and Mrs. Mina
Bybee of Universal; a brother, Bruce Welker of Mansfield; 10 grandchildren, including Miss Betty Doan; several
great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild. Service arrangements will be announced by the Frist Funeral Home.
