Delvis J. [I.] Huchingson, 67, died Sunday in a local hospital. He had been a resident of Hot Springs for 40 years and was a member and deacon of the Second Baptist Church. He was a retired welder with Reynolds Metal Company of Bauxite. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vivian Huchingson of Hot Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Brada Garner of Hot Springs and Mrs. Opal Warford of Fort Worth, Texas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Delvis Ivan Huchingson, 67, died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born in Saline County and had lived here for 40 years. He was a deacon and a member of the Second Baptist Church. He was a retired welder for the Reynolds Metal Company of Bauxite and had owned and operated the Huchingston Radiator Shop for 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Vivian Caldwell Huchingson, Hot Springs; a son, Kenneth Huchingson, Hot Springs; two sisters, Brada Garner, Hot Springs and Mrs. Opal Warford, Fort Worth, Texas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gross Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Sidney J. Sample officiating. Pallbearers will be Otis Cook, Vance Smiley, F. F. Sims, George Wells, Haywood Smith and W. R. Kimball Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John Bond, Dr. Surinder Gupta, Ray Short, C. Westfall, James Small, Preston Crawford, deacons of the Second Baptist Church and the Ault Sunday School Class. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens. [from the Sentinel-Record, July 4, 1979, page 8]
