Dewey Alenn Belcher, 65, of Elkhorn City, died Wednesday September 28, 2011, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born February 16, 1946, the son of the late Algie Fonso Belcher and Ruby Mae McCoy Belcher.
He was a self employed contractor and a Church member.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Joyce Smith Belcher,; one son, Dewey Allen Belcher of Deltona, Fla., one daughter, Melissa Dawn Belcher of Deltona Fla., one brother, Fonso Belcher Jr. of Elkhorn City, two sisters, Brenda Bowen of Clay City, and Teressa Hobbs of St. Louis., four grandchildren, and four great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday with Billy Ford officiating, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Elkhorn City. Burial will follow at the Wilson Cemetery, Draffin.
Visitation will begin 6 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, Elkhorn City,
