Angie Juriah Amos, 75, of Stoneville, NC, died Monday, September 19, 2011, at home. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Mayodan. Interment will follow in Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. Ms. Amos was born September 26, 1936, in Stokes County, NC, to the late Sam Andy Amos and Juriah Hartman Amos. She was a 1953 graduate of Sandy Ridge High School and a retired employee of Miller Brewing Co. Angie was formerly a beautician and owner and operator of Country Sunshine. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mayodan, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and Queen Mother of M&M Red Hats Babes. Angie was a bowling champion and an avid Carolina Tarheels fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Raleigh Levi Amos, and sisters, Dorothy Amos Ray and Stacy Amos. Survivors include her son, Franklin Samuel Johnson and wife, Cindy, of Stoneville; granddaughter, Mela Johnson Banks and husband, Ronnie, of Bowersville, GA; great-grandchildren, Kambri Banks and Isaiah Banks; sister-in-law, Alma Dillon Amos; and several nieces and nephews.
