Eleanor Mitchell Tuttle's parents were James Archibald and Lillie May (Fillmore) Mitchell.

Eleanor attended elementary, junior high and high school in Payson, where she was on the debate team.

On May 24, 1927, in Payson, Utah, she was married to Lawrence Elliott Tuttle. They were blessed with two children. Elliott preceded her in death on July 27, 1981.

She worked as an operator for Mountain Bell Telephone Company, where she retired as a supervisor.

Eleanor enjoyed several women's clubs, and was a master bridge player. Her beautiful gardens were a great source of pride and enjoyment. She was always a gracious hostess, and a very good cook, and she loved to entertain. She was a member of the LDS Church.

She passed away at the age of 100 at Cove Point, in Provo, Utah.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 23, 2003, at 2:00 p.m., in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo. Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills.
