MRS. CHRISTINA SANDEL

Infirmities of age caused the death of Mrs. Christina Sandel at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Scott on Convers avenue. The deceased was 85 years of age and was born in Germany in 1826. She came to this country at the age of 14 and settled in Lancaster. She was married in 1849.

Mrs. Sandel was the mother of nine children, four of whom are living: Mrs. Ida Sarbaugh of Wheatland, Wyo.; Mrs. Carrie Weigand of Columbus; Mrs. Emma Martin of St. Paris, O., and Mrs. Scott. Three brothers, Peter Daubenmire and George Daubenmire of Lancaster, and Fred Daubenmier of Kansas City, and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Miley of Bremen and Mrs. Ann Aler of Adamsville, also survive.

The deceased was a woman of many noble virtues, and she will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends. The funeral will be held at the late home at 10 o’clock Friday morning. Rev. A. B. Markler will officiate and interment will be made in St. Paul’s cemetery at Sonora at 2 o’clock.
