Gladys Virginia Mack Hiles, 92, died August 22, 2011, in Imperial Beach, CA. She was born May 4, 1919, in Celina, OH to Elma Cochran Smoot and Charles Mack. She married Harold F. Hiles, who is deceased. Surviving are three children, John Hiles, Chula Vista, CA, Teri Hiles Steijer, Orange, CA and Victor Hiles, Ocotillo, CA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She graduated in 1939 from Miami Valley Hospital Nursing School, Dayton. Her nursing career spanned more than 50 years. She served as a public health nurse and nurse for three schools in the South Bay area of California. She attended Nestor United Methodist Church, San Diego. Memorial service is August 27, 2011 at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, Bonita, CA with burial will follow in Abbey Memorial Park
