Alvey J. Reed, near Pecktonville, died yesterday at 1 p.m. at his residence, aged 52 years.

Born in the Clear Spring district, he was the son of Albert and Virginia (Myers) Reed.

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Goldie G. Reed, daughters, Mrs. Edna E Hart, Miss Elsie Reed, Miss Lula Belle Reed, all at home; brothers, Kenneth Reed near big Pool; Arthur Reed, near Big Pool; sisters Mrs. Effie Shivers, Sleepy Creek, We. Va.; Mrs. Mary Shoemaker, Hancock; Mrs. Emma Crilley, Hagerstown and one grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Park Head E.U.B. Church, the Rev William F. Murray officiating with interment in Park Head Cemetery.

The body may be viewed at the Rowland Funeral Home in Clear Spring until noon Saturday. It will lie in state at the church from 1pm until the service.
