Claire J. Tierney, 94, of Warrenville, formerly of Elgin and Aurora, passed away August 7, 2003 at St. Patrick's Residence in Naperville. She was born December 29, 1908 in Aurora, IL and was a homemaker. Mrs. Tierney was a member of St. Irene Catholic Church of Warrenville. She was an avid gardener.
Survived by her son Donald C. (Joan D.) Tierney of Wilmette and daughter-in-law Rosemary Tierney of Warrenville., nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her son Dean Tierney and her husband Charles V.
Funeral services Monday 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Residence Chapel with Monseigneur Dalton officiating. Visitation one hour prior to Mass. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Aurora.
