She attended the Christian day school in St. Louis, Mo., Teacher Roschke being her instructor. After due instruction she was confirmed in Cross Lutheran Church, St. Louis, Mo., by the Rev. Mr. Hanser.
During the year 1870 she was married to John Lange, son of the former well-known publisher of the Abendschule. To this union ten children were born. Three died in early youth, and one daughter, Gertrude, died in 1924. Six children are living. They are: Mrs. Tillie Lierman, of Twin Falls, Idaho; Miss Lydia Lange, Chicago, Ill; Mrs. Lucy Aufderheide, of Deshler; Otto Lange, of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Lottie Birkholz, of Columbus, and Edgar Lange, of Los Angeles, Cal.
In the year 1897 she was married to Martin Albrecht at Friedensau by the Rev. Mr. Grorich.
She reached the age of 85 years, 8 months, and 6 days.
Besides her husband and six children, she leaves to mourn her death one stepson, Henry Albrecht; four stepdaughters, mrs. Henry Bredenbeck and mrs. Charles Ross, of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Henry Opfer and Mrs. Henry Yund, of St. Peter, Ill.; twelve grandchildren, four great grand-children, and many other relatives.
