John B. Grayson, 63, of Aurora passed away at his home on Saturday, December 21, 2002. He was born January 9, 1938 in Cass Co., IA, the son of the late Max and Esther (Messner) Grayson.
    John owned and operated the Ice Box for 25 years along with his family. He worked for the Pepsi Company in Aurora for 40 years. He enjoyed watching and volunteering at S-A field softball games, hunting and trapshooting. John treasured watching his grandchildren in their activities. He was the kind of person who made friends with those he met.
    Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Grayson of Aurora, daughters Ginny (Bill) Bielasco of Byron, IL, son Bob Grayson of Aurora, daughter Diane (Ron) Fritcher of Rochester, MN, grandchildren Zach Bielasco, Jamie Bielasco, Corrine Fritcher and Chandler "CJ" Fritcher and a step sister, Janet Jerdi.
    John was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dick Grayson and step-mother, Fern Grayson.
    Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2002 from The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 26, 2002 from 4-8 p.m. at our Aurora facility. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
    Memorials may be directed to Wesley United Methodist Church, 14 N. May St., Aurora, IL 60506.
