LUCAS - The funeral for Mrs. Minnie L. Green, 71, rural Lucas, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Lucas, Pastor Roger Shanks officiating. Burial will be in the Delhi Cemetery north of Lucas. Mrs. Green died Sunday at the Lucas Rest Home.
She was born Jan. 20, 1908, at Lucas. She was a retired schoolteacher and a lifelong resident of the Lucas community. She was a member of the Lucas Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star No. 188 and the Blue Hill Farmerettes.
Surviving are her husband, William E., of the home; a daughter, Roxy Ann Cuddy, Houston, Texas; three brothers, Nicholas Bergsma, Grants Pass, Ore.; Fred Bergsma, Goodland, and S.S. Bergsma, Ottawa; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Clow, Goodland, and Mrs. Octavia Altheide, Grants Pass, and a grandson.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Rodrick-Minear Funeral Home, Lucas.
