Body Being Returned Here for Funeral and Interment
Claude Stribling, 51, formerly of Kirksville died in a St. Louis hospital Tuesday morning at 4:00.
Mr. Stribling was born in Adair county May 31, 1901, the son of John T. and Nancy Moncrief Stribling. He was a machinist in Kirksville before moving to Valley Park, Mo., several years ago.
He was preceded n [sic] death by his parents; wife who died in 1949; one son, who was listed as missing in action during World War II; three sisters and four brothers.
Surviving are three daughters, Claudine Lindsey, Nancy Hendrickson and Francis Stribling, of Valley Park, Mo.; one son, Kenneth C., of Casper, Wyo.; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Deacon and Mrs. Mattie Waller, of Kirksville, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services are tentatively set for Thursday afternoon at the memorial chapel of the Robert B. Davis Funeral Home at 115 W. Jefferson, where the body will arrive this evening. Burial will be in the Maple Hills cemetery.
