Born August 12, 1895 in Scotland, he was a son of the late John and Lucy (Hall) Pisle.
His wife, Hazel E. (Helman) Pisle died in 1971.
He was a member of the Otterbein United Brethren Church, Greencastle.
Pisle was a farmer and orchardist.
He is survived by five children: Garnet J. Pisle, 6602 Horst Road, Chambersburg; Eugene G. Pisle, 8531 Grindstone Hill Road, Chambersburg; Mrs. John E. Murray, State Line; Janet E. Pisle and Doris E. Pisle, both at home; seven grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren and a brother, Percy Pisle, Williamson.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Minnich-Miller Funeral Home, Greencastle, in charge of the Rev. Charles E. Sunday and the Rev. Fred A. Johns. Burial will be in the Grindstone Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7-9 p.m.
