Roswell Mills was buried in Rices Cemetery, Town of Adams.
He seems to have been too young to have fought in the Revolution.
A Roswell Mills does appear the Muster Roll of Capt. Samuel McNitt's Company 55th Reg't of Militia, commanded by Lt. Col. Anthony Sprague, stationed at Sackets Harbor from Feb. 28 to Mar. 18, 1813, appearing on the Jefferson county genweb site.
