Ambrose Zack "A.Z." Adams, Sr., 89, passed awayAugust 11, 2009. He worked for Adams Upholstery Service for 54 years and the National Starch Chemical for 30 years, where he retired in 1982. He is survived by his children, George Adams, Ambrose Adams, Jr., Charles Benners Adams, Michael Adams, Diane Adams, Robert Henderson, Valerie Scruggs and Marcus Adams; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Thompson and brother, Tommy Thompson. Calling August 14, 2009 in Stuart Mortuary Chapel, with services to follow. Interment will be in Sutherland Park Cemetery. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Stuart Mortuary.
