inez Faye Helton of Blackwell, died early Tuesday morning,may 20,2003.in the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in
Blackwell at the age 82.
Inez Faye Helton was born on Feb .27,1921 in Blackwell to
John and Mable (Lunsford) Fausset. She grew up in blackwell
attending Blackwell schools,graduating in 1939.
She married Bert Helton jr.on Jan 26,1959 in Hominy Okla,
and they settled in Blackwell where she served her family as a homemaker.
Her husband preceded her in death on july 31,1991, and she
continued to make blackwell her home.
She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwell.Surviors are daughters ,Ellen Wright and her husband Darin of Blackwell,and Patty Helton Ponca City; ,grandchildren Alisha Marie Ropp of Blackwell, Harley Wright of Blackwell,Jeane Williams and husband Cary of Blackwell and Kelly Wickham and his Wife Connie of Halfway Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents,a sister Gladys Smith and Four brothers Bobby,Chester,Orten and Ira Fausset
Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday,May 21,at graveside in the blackwell Cementery with the Rev.Rick longerier of the
First Baptist Church of Blackwell officiating.
One of Fayes Highlights was Taking a airplane ride around Blackwell, as a young girl, with Amellia Earhart. who was Giving rides on her plane, to raise money.
